DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEM (DCS) FOR NGL1600 BID BOLAND GAS REFINERY

Project Short Description

The Distributed Control System of NGL1600 plant is designed and fabricated by TA based on TOSDIC-CIE MCS 1000 (in phase 1 ) and MCS 1200 (in phase 2 of expansion system ) TOSHIBA hardware and Citect ver.5.3 software .The system is mainly includes two operator work stations (industrial PC ) with WIN-NT operating software with accessories .Two panels including safety barriers , terminals ,relay sub-racks  , …etc. The main DCS panel including redundant CPU and power supplies , communication and I/O modules . The MCC marshaling panel and hardwired emergency shutdown panel are also part of equipment deliveries .The total number of system I/Os are ? for DCS and about ? I/Os for ESD .

The plant ESD system is realized by hardwired relay type logic for obtaining of safe operation of the plant .
