AUTOMATION SYSTEM FOR KURDISTAN 63/20 KV SUBSTATION

The Pajouheshgah Nirou company affiliated to the ministry of energy intended to installed a modern automated system as a pilot on one of Tehran distribution substation. The automation system was consisted of outdoor IP65 interfacing and control panels of all substation field yard equipment such as breakers and transformers and indoor panels of IP45 of PLCs and interfacing transducers and relays. The distributed PLCs type TOSHIBA T2T with various number of I/Os were installed in panels to interface to the substation analog and digital signals. All PLCs were linked by redundant fiber optic of 10 M/byte of dedicated TOSHIBA special internal highway. The two redundant industrial computers were installed on operator desk as HMI to serve the substation operators. Further an industrial computer was installed on equipment panel for the engineering, test and maintenance. The control and monitoring software of VTScada of Trihedral of Canada were installed on all operator and engineering stations. The automation equipment were successfully tested and delivered to the customer along with the extensive training to the customer’s engineers in various levels of installation, commissioning, operation  and maintenance.
